Rep. Mark Alford, U.S. Congressman representing Missouri’s 4th district since 2023, shared a series of posts on social media between September 23 and 24, 2025, highlighting his positions on government spending and local healthcare initiatives.

On September 23, Alford criticized proposed federal spending plans by stating: "The Left’s ‘wish list’ isn’t about helping Americans—it’s about nearly $1.5T in new spending, Medicaid abuse, and taxpayer-funded handouts. @HouseGOP will keep fighting to restore fiscal sanity and protect YOUR hard-earned dollars. The following day, September 24, he announced funding secured for local maternal health services: " Proud to secure $1.6M through committee-passed appropriations bills for a new Maternal Health Center at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton. Alford succeeded Vicky Hartzler as the representative for Missouri’s 4th district in Congress starting in 2023. Born in Baytown, Texas in 1963 and currently residing in Lake Winnebago, Alford holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas at Austin.
