Rep. Mark Alford, U.S. Congressman representing Missouri’s 4th district since 2023, posted a series of updates on September 24, 2025, addressing both a violent incident at an ICE facility in Texas and legislative efforts to address the national housing crisis.
In his first post that day, Alford stated: "We strongly condemn the shooting at an ICE facility in Texas this morning, which the FBI confirmed targeted federal law enforcement.
We're praying for all of the victims and are thankful no ICE agents were injured.
This is just the latest instance of violent attacks against ICE" (September 24, 2025).
Later that afternoon, Alford highlighted ongoing legislative initiatives related to housing: " ICYMI: We are actively working to tackle America’s housing crisis with the Saving the American Dream Act
This bill lowers costs and boosts housing supply, so folks can achieve the American dream of homeownership.

Alford was born in Baytown, Texas in 1963 and currently resides in Lake Winnebago. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1988.
The Saving the American Dream Act referenced by Alford aims to address rising costs and limited supply within America's housing market by promoting affordability and increasing available options for prospective homeowners.
