Rep. Mark Alford, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Missouri’s 4th district since 2023, recently addressed concerns about a potential government shutdown and criticized Democratic policies in a series of posts on social media.
On September 27, 2025, Alford posted, " A scary government shutdown is looming…and the Left is trying to hold things like disaster funding, paying our troops & rural healthcare hostage to give Medicaid to illegals! https://t.co/mHrjhUesJD". Later that day, he wrote, "Democrats would rather torch our government than give up their radical scheme: FREE health care for illegals… Americans come first. Period."
In a subsequent post from the same date, Alford promoted an upcoming live broadcast: "E36 LIVE…DON’T MISS THIS: Will the govt shut down at the hands of the Left’s partisan wish list?
