Mizzou's men's and women's golf teams continued play at the Blessings Collegiate Invitational on Tuesday, with the men's team advancing three places in the standings after the second round.
Junior Veikka Viskari led the men's team by shooting an even-par 72, moving up seven spots to 13th place at four-over for two rounds. Virgilio Paz followed with a one-over 73, climbing two spots into ninth at three-over overall.
The men's team finished day two in fifth place at 25-over par, improving by 11 strokes compared to their first round. They are currently four shots away from third place and are ranked second among three SEC schools participating in the tournament. Arkansas leads after 36 holes at six-over par, while Mizzou is ahead of Mississippi State, which sits in ninth place at 33-over.
On the women's side, senior Addie Dobson led her team for a second consecutive day by making six birdies and recording a two-under 70. She climbed four positions into seventh place individually. Fleur van Beek also made progress, posting a two-over 74 to move up 20 spots into 21st.
The women's team ended the day in seventh place at 44-over par. Arkansas holds the lead after two days at one-under par.
Combined, both teams have a score of 69-over par after two rounds, placing them seventh out of ten schools competing, with Arkansas leading overall.
Both Mizzou teams will return Wednesday for the third and final round of play.
