Rep. Mark Alford, who represents Missouri’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of statements on his social media accounts addressing ongoing political issues and commemorating significant events.
On October 6, 2025, Alford criticized Democratic lawmakers for their actions during what he called the "#SchumerShutdown," stating, "While Democrats play games in D.C., @HouseGOP is working in our districts. During this #SchumerShutdown, I am here at Nevada Regional Medical Center in Vernon County, a VITAL rural hospital facing real financial challenges."
Later that day, he addressed the broader impact of the government shutdown on states across the country. In his post from October 6, 2025, he wrote: "Every single state is taking a hit, INCLUDING Missouri. Democrats shut down the government to bankroll free healthcare for illegal aliens, and now YOUR communities are paying the price. #SchumerShutdown "
On October 7, 2025, Alford marked an international anniversary with another message: "A message on the second anniversary of the heinous Hamas terrorist attack on Israel:"
