Alford’s comments come amid ongoing partisan disputes over government funding. He attributes responsibility for the shutdown to Democratic lawmakers and specifically references funding for health care for undocumented immigrants as a point of contention.
Alford was born in Baytown, Texas in 1963 and currently resides in Lake Winnebago. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 1988.
