The University of Missouri men's golf team is set to compete at the Moraine Intercollegiate in Kettering, Ohio, on Monday and Tuesday. The event will take place at Moraine Country Club, a par-71 course that measures 6,916 yards. The tournament will feature three rounds over two days, with 36 holes scheduled for Monday and 18 holes for Tuesday. Play is set to begin at 7:45 a.m. CT each day.
Missouri will be one of 14 teams participating in the event. Other teams include No. 9 Illinois, Miami University (the host), Bowling Green, Connecticut, Dayton, Iowa, Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State, Rhode Island, VCU, Wright State and Xavier.
Junior Veikka Viskari has led Missouri in each of its first three tournaments this season. He finished seventh at the Folds of Honor Collegiate and placed 11th at both the Canadian Collegiate Invitational and Blessings Collegiate Invitational. Viskari is the first Missouri player since Jace Long in the 2012-13 season to finish in the top 15 of the first three tournaments.
The lineup for Missouri at the Moraine Intercollegiate includes Veikka Viskari, Virgilio Paz, Trent Mierl, Bradley Mulder and Reese Roberts.
After this tournament, Missouri will close out its fall season by competing at The Clerico in Tulsa, Oklahoma. That event begins on Monday, October 27.
