Mizzou women's basketball head coach Kellie Harper, along with student-athletes Grace Slaughter and Abbey Schreacke, will participate in SEC Tipoff '26 on Wednesday at the Grand Bohemian Hotel in Mountain Brook, Alabama.
The event serves as a media day for the Southeastern Conference and includes appearances on national outlets such as SEC Network, ESPN, and SiriusXM. Harper's main media session is scheduled to be broadcast on SEC Network from 3:50 to 4:05 p.m.
Harper became the fifth head coach in Missouri program history in March. Over her 20-year career as a Division I head coach, she has accumulated a record of 393-260 and led teams to nine NCAA Tournament appearances. Her squads have finished in the top three of their league 15 times and won four conference tournament championships. Including her playing days at Tennessee, Harper has spent 11 seasons involved with the SEC. In the 2022-23 season, she guided the Lady Volunteers to a second consecutive NCAA Sweet 16 appearance.
Grace Slaughter enters this season after being named the 2024-25 SEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year. The junior averaged 15 points per game last season, ranking her 18th in the conference, and added 3.6 rebounds per game. She also ranked third in free-throw percentage at 85.8 percent.
Abbey Schreacke was recognized for both her performance and community involvement last year. She ranked 12th in the SEC with 168 made three-pointers and converted on 37 percent of her attempts from beyond the arc. Schreacke set a new career-high with a 26-point game against Western Illinois and was named to the SEC Community Service Team for the 2024-25 season.
Missouri opens its year with an exhibition game against Maryville at Mizzou Arena on October 28 at 6:30 p.m., followed by its regular-season opener against Central Arkansas at home on November 3 at 6:30 p.m.
