Senator Eric Schmitt, U.S. Senator from Missouri, recently used his social media platform to address a range of issues including protest movements, artificial intelligence competition with China, and the organization behind recent demonstrations.

On October 16, 2025, Schmitt posted a statement calling for systemic change regarding violent protests. He wrote: "We must dismantle this system that has explicitly abandoned peaceful protest and is sustaining, organizing, and funding these violent attacks. For decades, we've been coddling left-wing terrorism and extremism. That era is over. Let's get to work."

The following day, October 17, 2025, Schmitt shifted focus to technological competition between the United States and China. He stated: "America is in a critical AI race with China and the @KCTechCouncil is ensuring Missourians don't get left behind. It was great to meet with business leaders in KC earlier this week to discuss how we can remain strong competitors in this race." The senator highlighted collaboration with local technology leaders as part of broader efforts to maintain competitiveness in artificial intelligence.

On October 18, 2025, Schmitt commented on the "No Kings Day" protests. He asserted: "The 'No Kings Day' protests are an incredible example of how astroturfed the Left is. Nothing about this was 'grassroots' or organic. It's funded by billionaires, promoted by million-dollar ad buys, and organized by some of the most powerful left-wing groups in America."

Senator Schmitt has previously served as Missouri's Attorney General before being elected to the U.S. Senate. His recent remarks reflect ongoing debates within American politics about protest legitimacy and foreign technological competition.
