Senator Eric Schmitt, a U.S. Senator from Missouri, published a series of posts on October 18, 2025, detailing the activities of protest groups and their organizers.

In his first post, Schmitt stated, "Last week, a new group called 'Home of the Brave' dropped $1 million on a national media blitz to juice turnout at the protests, runnings ads in more than 185 local papers across 31 states. They took out full-page ads in the New York Times, Washington Post, and USA Today." (October 18, 2025).

In a subsequent message posted moments later, Schmitt addressed another organization: "The main organizer of 'No Kings' is Indivisible—one of the most notorious astroturfing operations on the Left. The entire campaign is hosted on their infrastructure: Their websites, event map, sign-up forms, and press operations. They’re the umbrella under which it all operates." (October 18, 2025).

Schmitt continued by highlighting recent activities attributed to these groups: "The group, based in D.C., has been responsible for a recent flyer campaign in the nation's capital, plastering the streets with posters harassing ICE and other federal agents to 'take off your masks.'" (October 18, 2025).

Indivisible has been active as an advocacy organization since its founding following the 2016 presidential election. It has previously organized campaigns targeting government policies and officials through grassroots mobilization efforts.

These statements from Senator Schmitt follow ongoing debates about protest tactics and funding sources for activist organizations in Washington D.C. and nationwide.
