Rep. Mark Alford, who represents Missouri’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, used his social media platform this week to address ongoing national issues, including the government shutdown and national security concerns.
On October 17, 2025, Alford announced an episode of his program Capitol Recap with retired Whiteman Air Force Base Col. Keith Butler. Mark Alford has served as the representative for Missouri's 4th District since 2023 after succeeding Vicky Hartzler ([source](https://www.house.gov/representatives)). He was born in Baytown, Texas in 1963 and resides in Lake Winnebago. Alford holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas at Austin (graduated in 1988).
