On Saturday, Feb. 15, former David H. Hickman High School standout Zach Bates’ current college team, the Illinois Fighting Illini, won 11-6 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Abilene Christian Wildcats.

The game took place at Whataburger Field. This was their second matchup against the Wildcats this season.

The Fighting Illini’s next game is scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 16 at 10 a.m. at Whataburger Field against Abilene Christian Wildcats.
