Columbia opens applications for board and commission vacancies

The City of Columbia is currently accepting applications for various boards, commissions, and task forces. Residents interested in participating in local government and representing their community can apply until Friday, October 4, at 5 p.m. Detailed information and application forms are available on the Board and Commission Vacancies page. For further inquiries, residents may call 573.874.7208.

The City also announced several upcoming events and initiatives:

- National Customer Service Week will be celebrated from October 7 to October 11.

- The Columbia Fire Department will kick off Fire Prevention Week on October 6.

- A commemorative poster unveiling and artist recognition will take place during the 2024 Celebration of the Arts.

City Source, a monthly newsletter produced by the Creative Services and Marketing & Engagement divisions, is mailed to all City utility customers and is available free of charge at City Hall.
