City of Columbia offices will be closed Monday, Sept. 2 in observance of Labor Day. The City Council meeting will be held Tuesday, Sept. 3 instead of Monday due to the holiday.

Additionally, several city services will be impacted by the holiday. Although administrative offices for both the police and fire departments will be closed, all other emergency services will be available. Columbia Police urge residents to drive safely, unimpaired and within posted speed limits if community members are traveling for the holiday.

Residents are advised to visit the City’s Utilities page for phone numbers to contact staff regarding emergencies related to Water & Light, Sewer, and Stormwater.

The City of Columbia emphasizes its vision: "Columbia is the best place for everyone to live, work, learn and play." The city's mission is "to serve the public equitably through democratic, transparent and efficient government."

For more information or to report a problem, residents can contact the City Manager’s Office at 701 E. Broadway or P.O. Box 6015, Columbia, MO 65205. They can also call 573-874-CITY (2489) or visit @CoMoGov on social media.
