He listed various crimes committed by these individuals and expressed disapproval of Democratic support: "These are the people that the Democrats spend their time defending."
Schmitt accused Judge Murphy of defying the Supreme Court's decision by siding with a dissenting opinion: "This judge, Brian Murphy, decided to cite the dissent... I’m going to give the Supreme Court the middle finger. I don’t want to do it.”
The situation has sparked controversy over judicial adherence to higher court rulings and political divisions concerning immigration policies.
