Mizzou's junior offensive lineman, Cayden Green, has been named to the Phil Steele 2025 Preseason All-America first team. This announcement was made by the publication on June 29, 2025.

Green is returning for his second season as Mizzou's starting left guard. Over his career, which includes time with both the Tigers and Oklahoma, he has played in 24 games with 18 starts and accumulated a total of 1,504 snaps. In the year 2024 alone, Green contributed significantly to Mizzou's offense, which achieved 2,138 rushing yards and 2,926 passing yards along with scoring 26 rushing touchdowns.

The offensive line led by Green ranked highly in several categories during the season. It was first in the SEC and seventh nationally for time of possession at an average of 32:54 per game. The team also placed fourth in tackles for loss allowed (4.62) and seventh in sacks allowed (2.00) per game within the conference rankings. Furthermore, their red zone offense performance was notable as they converted on .920 percent of their opportunities.

In addition to these accomplishments, Green had an impressive showing at the Music City Bowl where he managed zero pressures over 41 pass block snaps and earned an 82.7 pass block grade from Pro Football Focus.
