The Boone County Commission has appointed Ami Hayse as the new director of the Public Safety Childcare Center. This facility, covering approximately 10,000 square feet, is designed to offer extended childcare access for first responders within Boone County Government.

Initially, the center will feature about 5,000 square feet of finished space on its main level. Additionally, there is a 5,000-square-foot unfinished walkout basement intended for future expansion. The center is believed to be the first purpose-built public safety childcare center in the United States.
