Boone County is set to enhance its preparedness for school emergencies through a collaborative training initiative. The Boone County Office of Emergency Management, in partnership with local K-12 schools, first response agencies, and mental health providers, will host the "I Love U Guys" Foundation Reunification Training.

"This is an essential step in strengthening our county's ability to respond to school emergencies," stated Chris Kelley, Director of the Boone County Office of Emergency Management. Kelley emphasized the importance of a unified approach involving educators, law enforcement, fire services, EMS, mental health providers, and other key partners. The goal is to ensure student safety and facilitate quick reunification with their families.

The training aims to bring together various stakeholders to develop coordinated strategies for managing school emergencies effectively.
