In early February, the Boone County Commission began a comprehensive screening process to evaluate applications for the final round of ARPA funding. A 20-person panel was formed, consisting of representatives from various departments and offices within Boone County Government. This panel carefully reviewed each application based on criteria set by the U.S. Department of the Treasury.
The evaluation focused on three main aspects: adherence to eligibility regulations, project feasibility and sustainability, and alignment with the mission to improve lives and create transformative change in Boone County using these one-time funds.
