Rep. Mark Alford, a U.S. Congressman representing Missouri’s 4th district since 2023, shared his reflections and reactions on various matters through social media over the weekend.

On July 6, 2025, Alford commemorated Independence Day by sharing a religious reflection. He noted, "As we celebrated Independence Day this weekend, we reflected on this verse. Paul gives us encouragement to stand firm in our liberty and not be burdened by things that may hold us back." He emphasized the significance of faith in Christ as a source of salvation and freedom.

Later that day, he expressed his condolences regarding tragic events in Texas. In his tweet posted on July 6, 2025, he wrote: "Incredibly saddened by the news out of Texas this weekend. The loss of life, especially of innocent children, is unimaginable." Alford mentioned both his personal connection to the area and his prayers for those affected.

On July 7, 2025, Alford commented on legislative changes affecting service industry workers in Missouri. He stated: "Missouri waiters, bartenders, Uber drivers, & salon workers earn their tips--and deserve to keep the FULL tip!" He credited President Biden's OBBB for enacting this change into law.

Mark Alford was born in Baytown, Texas in 1963 and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a BA in 1988. He resides in Lake Winnebago.
