Rep. Mark Alford, who has represented Missouri’s 4th District in the U.S. Congress since 2023, recently posted a series of statements on social media reflecting on national events and legislative developments. Alford, born in Baytown, Texas in 1963 and currently residing in Lake Winnebago, succeeded Vicky Hartzler and holds a BA from the University of Texas at Austin.

On July 13, 2025, Alford commemorated the anniversary of an event involving former President Donald Trump by stating, "One year ago today, President Donald Trump was spared by the Grace of God so that he could lead us into the Golden Age of America."

In a subsequent post on July 13, 2025, Alford remembered those affected by the same incident: "Remembering Corey Comperatore, who was tragically killed, as well as David Dutch & James Copenhaver, who were injured that day alongside President Trump."

On July 14, 2025, Alford addressed legislative matters regarding national defense funding. He stated: "The FY26 @HouseAppropsGOP Defense Bill invests $831.5 billion in America’s military superiority, shapes a more efficient and effective Department of Defense, protects from threats at the American border, and takes care of our troops and their families! Let's get this done."

Mark Alford has served Missouri’s 4th District since replacing Vicky Hartzler in Congress in 2023. He is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin.
