Representative Mark Alford, who has served Missouri’s 4th District in the U.S. Congress since 2023, recently shared several updates via social media regarding legislative priorities and policy perspectives. Alford, a former journalist born in Baytown, Texas in 1963 and now residing in Lake Winnebago, emphasized national defense and education reform in his latest communications.
On July 14, 2025, Alford highlighted the significance of H.R. 4016 for national security and military support. He stated: "H.R. 4016 delivers on the America-First mandate by taking care of our troops & their families, combatting rogue international actors, and protecting our nation from threats at our borders. Let's pass the FY26 @HouseAppropsGOP Defense bill!"
In a subsequent post on July 15, 2025, Alford addressed recent developments in education policy. He wrote: "This is a huge win for students, parents, and the future of our great nation! Federal bureaucracy has failed our children. Education policy is most successful and effective when decided by those closest to the people."
