Five former athletes from the Missouri Tigers track and field program will compete at the 2025 USA Track and Field Outdoor Championships this weekend. The event serves as a qualifier for the World Athletics World Championships, which are scheduled to take place in Tokyo, Japan, from September 13-21.

The top three finishers in each event at the USATF Championships who meet the World Athletics qualifying standard will secure a spot on Team USA for the upcoming world championships. Karissa Schweizer and Gabi Jacobs are eligible to qualify in the 5,000 meters and discus throw, respectively, if they finish among the top three in their events.

Karissa Schweizer, an Olympic medalist, is set to participate in two events. She finished sixth in the 10,000 meters on Thursday and will compete in the 5,000 meters on Sunday, August 3, at 4:30 p.m. CT.

In field events, Gabi Jacobs will compete in the women's discus throw on Sunday at 2 p.m., while Mitchell Weber will represent Missouri in the men's discus throw on Saturday at 1:20 p.m.

Arianna Fisher and Euphenie Andre are both entered in the women's triple jump, scheduled for Saturday at 2:40 p.m.

Fans can watch live coverage of the competition on USATF.TV throughout the weekend. Select events will also be broadcast on NBC and Peacock. More information about schedules and results is available at https://www.usatf.org/.

The USATF Outdoor Championships are held annually to determine national champions and often serve as qualifying meets for Team USA ahead of international competitions.
