Rep. Mark Alford, a U.S. Congressman representing Missouri’s 4th district since 2023, posted several messages on his social media account on August 11, 2025, addressing public safety in Washington D.C. and celebrating Missouri’s statehood anniversary.

In a post at 14:27 UTC, Alford shared a message with symbols and a link: " https://t.co/C2gryFE64K".

Later that day at 15:09 UTC, he addressed crime in the nation’s capital by writing: "MAKE D.C. SAFE AGAIN! Thank you, @POTUS

It’s time to return our nation’s capital to the shining city on a hill by prioritizing public safety and ending soft-on-crime policies. https://t.co/nWnUQ9x5yS".

At 18:09 UTC, Alford commemorated Missouri's statehood anniversary with the following statement: "Yesterday was Missouri’s 204th Birthday!

Alford succeeded Vicky Hartzler as representative of Missouri's 4th district in Congress beginning in 2023. He was born in Baytown, Texas in 1963 and currently resides in Lake Winnebago. Alford graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1988.
