Rep. Mark Alford, who represents Missouri’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, used his social media account on August 27, 2025 to address issues ranging from Medicaid cuts to community events in Missouri.

In a post published at 13:23 UTC, Alford stated: "I'm not concerned about feelings, I'm dealing in facts. Setting the record straight on Medicaid cuts in the One, Big Beautiful Bill. There is WAY too much misinformation spreading, here's the TRUTH: https://t.co/T7Q6OkISEH".

Later that day at 14:35 UTC, Alford shared an update about a local event: "On National Dog Day yesterday, we had a very special guest from Pulaski County K9 at our Town Hall in St. Robert, MO! https://t.co/n6oIgnU4Fp".

Continuing his engagement with constituents during his travels through Missouri, Alford posted at 15:02 UTC: "Stop #10. Good conversations & good coffee at the Bean Depot in Laurie this morning! See you at 12PM in Warsaw, MO! https://t.co/JJ81FifOe3".

Alford has served as the representative for Missouri’s 4th District since replacing Vicky Hartzler in 2023 and resides in Lake Winnebago. He was born in Baytown, Texas and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a BA in 1988.
