Matrix Midwest is expanding its coverage of Missouri Tigers football for the 2025 season. The network will begin airing the second season of "Mizzou Live!" and launch a new program, "Mizzou: Final Whistle," both presented by Paytient.
"Mizzou Live!" is a pre- and postgame show produced with Mizzou Athletics and Learfield. The program features analysis from former player and NFL wide receiver Justin Gage. The first episode coincides with the Tigers’ season opener against Central Arkansas at Memorial Stadium on Thursday at 6:30 p.m.
"We are thrilled to kick off Season 2 of 'Mizzou Live!' on Matrix Midwest as we head into the 2025 football season," said Mizzou Director of Athletics Laird Veatch. "This partnership allows us to bring Tiger fans even closer to the action and give them a behind-the-scenes look at our program, our student-athletes and the unmatched energy of Mizzou Football. We look forward to building on the success our program has achieved and make this season's coverage bigger and better."
The new weekly recap show, "Mizzou: Final Whistle," will air Sundays at 9:30 a.m. on Matrix Midwest (channel 32) and Spectrum channel 6. It includes post-game commentary from coach Eli Drinkwitz, player reactions, and analysis from Gage.
"Viewer excitement around Mizzou Football is tremendous. Fan enthusiasm and feedback have prompted us to add more Mizzou content to Matrix Midwest. We're proud to provide our community what they want," said JD Sosnoff, Vice President & General Manager of Matrix Midwest & KMOV-TV.
Both programs will be available statewide in six Missouri markets: St. Louis, Kansas City, Cape Girardeau, Springfield, Hannibal, and Columbia. After Thursday’s debut episode, "Mizzou Live!" moves to Saturdays from 10-11 a.m.
Additionally, “Tiger Talk,” featuring Coach Drinkwitz each week, has joined Matrix Midwest’s lineup every Tuesday at 9 p.m., running through November 25.
