Senator Eric Schmitt, a U.S. Senator from Missouri, published a series of posts on September 4, 2025, voicing his support for former President Donald Trump and the current state of the Supreme Court. In these posts, Schmitt emphasized the importance of law and order as well as the judicial appointment process.

In one post, Schmitt stated: "After four years of lawlessness, President Trump is going to continue to uphold his promise to restore law and order, whether in the streets of our inner cities or on the bench in our federal courthouses." This message was posted on September 4, 2025.

On the same day, Schmitt addressed changes in the Supreme Court under Trump's administration. He wrote: "Thanks to President Trump, we have a Supreme Court that is interested in the rule of law, not creating leftist talking points. That courage and common sense is driving these rogue judges crazy and they're running to the media to complain."

He also expressed his own commitment regarding future judicial confirmations: "As for me, I will keep fighting like hell to ensure the new judges we confirm have the common sense and the courage to do the right thing and won't bend to media pressure." This post was made on September 4, 2025.

Schmitt has been an outspoken supporter of Donald Trump’s approach to judicial appointments. During Trump's presidency from 2017 to 2021, three justices were appointed to the U.S. Supreme Court—Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and Amy Coney Barrett—significantly shifting its ideological balance. The Senate plays a key role in confirming federal judges through hearings and votes.
