The University of Missouri women's tennis team concluded its home season with a doubleheader, facing No. 38-ranked Kentucky and Lindenwood. The Tigers lost to Kentucky 4-0 but secured a 4-0 victory against Lindenwood. Missouri now holds an overall record of 13-14 and is 2-13 in Southeastern Conference play. Kentucky stands at 12-12 overall and 5-10 in the SEC, while Lindenwood has a record of 5-8 and is 2-3 in conference matches.

In the opening match against Kentucky, Missouri dropped the doubles point after losses on courts one and three. The pairing of Andrea Artimedi and Inah Canete was trailing on court two when their match was left unfinished at 5-1.

During singles competition, senior Mary Brumfield faced Zoe Hammond, ranked No. 40 nationally, losing in straight sets. Inah Canete played against No. 80 Julia Zhu, winning her first set before the match went unfinished as they entered a third set. Freshman Korina Roso also saw her singles match go unfinished after splitting sets.

Against Lindenwood, Missouri claimed the doubles point with wins at No. 2 and No. 3 positions; Artimedi and Canete won their match 6-2 while Lailaa Bashir and Zoe Lazar earned a shutout victory. In singles play, freshman Gian Octa quickly finished her match with consecutive 6-1 set wins at No. 4 singles. Artimedi added another win at No. 2 singles, defeating her opponent in straight sets, followed by Lazar clinching the team win at No. 3 singles.

Head Coach Bianca Turati commented on the day's results: "It didn't go our way against Kentucky this morning. Our opponents did a better job handling the windy conditions and took better advantage during clutch moments of the matches. We handled business well against Lindenwood to bounce back and we'll get back to work in the next couple of days. We are looking forward to the SEC tournament next week."

Missouri will compete next in the SEC tournament beginning Wednesday, April 16, in Auburn, Alabama.
