Columbia Regional Airport (COU) has announced that American Airlines will increase its capacity at the airport by an average of 26 percent from September through January, compared to the same period last year. Tickets for these flights are available on the American Airlines website.
The most notable change is a 62 percent rise in available seats on flights to Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD), providing more options for travelers in mid-Missouri who need access to a major national hub. Service to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) remains consistent, showing steady growth.
“American Airlines has been a valued partner to Columbia Regional Airport for more than 12 years,” said Airport Manager Mike Park. “These added seats and expanded schedules mean more opportunities for our community to connect with the world, whether that’s nonstop flights to two of the largest U.S. hubs or connections to hundreds of domestic and international destinations.”
United Airlines is also set to resume service at COU starting September 25. The airline will offer nonstop flights to both Chicago O’Hare (ORD) and Denver International Airport (DEN), giving business and leisure travelers in mid-Missouri additional travel options. Flights can be booked now through the United Airlines website.
Columbia Regional Airport continues to promote convenience for area travelers, citing benefits such as shorter drive times, free parking, and quick check-in procedures.
The airport offers nonstop service via American Airlines to Chicago O’Hare (ORD) and Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW), and beginning September 25, United Airlines will provide nonstop flights to Chicago O’Hare (ORD) and Denver (DEN). More information about flights, parking, and amenities is available on the Columbia Regional Airport website.
