Missouri Tigers women's tennis concluded the third day of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Central Regional Championship with two players competing in the singles main draw. Sophomore Korina Roso advanced to the round of 16 after defeating Kansas State's Martaa Chogsomjav in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4. Roso then faced Heike Janse Van Vuuren from Kansas, but was eliminated after a 1-6, 4-6 loss.
Graduate student Mary Brumfield played in the round of 32 against Oklahoma's Chloe Noel. Brumfield's run ended with a 3-6, 2-6 defeat.
Head coach Silvia Chinellato commented on the team's progress: "We have shown great progress since our last tournament. As a team, we've grown in confidence, competitiveness, and unity. Our goal was to become stronger competitors, and we've accomplished that. Now, we look forward to continuing this growth and achieving even greater things ahead."
The Tigers will next compete at the SDSU Fall Classic hosted by San Diego State from November 7 to 9.
