Boone County Office of Emergency Management is offering Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training to individuals who desire the skills and knowledge required to respond to disasters. The training aims to equip participants with basic skills to respond to immediate community needs in the aftermath of a disaster when emergency services may not be readily available.

The training not only provides participants with the basic skills needed but also focuses on supporting first responders upon their arrival at the scene. CERT volunteers are encouraged to work together to save lives and protect property using the techniques learned during the course.

According to the Boone County Office of Emergency Management, the target audience for this training is individuals who wish to have the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively respond to disasters.
