Rep. Mark Alford, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Missouri's 4th district, shared several tweets recently that reflect his views and recognitions within his community. Alford, who replaced former U.S. Congress member Vicky Hartzler in 2023, has been active on social media, sharing both personal reflections and public acknowledgments.

On June 8, 2025, Rep. Alford posted a tweet reflecting on a biblical passage where Jesus appeared to his disciples after the resurrection. He wrote: "This passage describes Jesus appearing to his disciples after his resurrection and showing them his wounds from crucifixion before Jesus commissioned them to continue his ministry." He expressed a desire to continue Christ's ministry through daily life.

The following day, June 9, 2025, Alford extended recognition to local volunteers with a tweet acknowledging their recent achievement: "Shout out to these Show-Me Superstars, the Pleasant Hope Fire Protection District Volunteers." He congratulated them for receiving the HELP award by Chemtrec and the National Volunteer Fire Council and praised their contributions to making Missouri’s 4th district feel protected and proud.

Later that same day, Alford commented on legislative matters concerning border protection with another tweet: "@POTUS' One, Big Beautiful Bill PROTECTS OUR BORDER." He emphasized that the House had done its part and urged the Senate to pass the bill.

Mark Alford was born in Baytown, Texas in 1963 and currently resides in Lake Winnebago. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1988 with a BA.
