U.S. Senator Eric Schmitt has expressed approval for the Senate Judiciary Committee's decision to advance four nominees for judicial positions in the Eastern District of Missouri. The nominees, who previously worked under Schmitt during his tenure as Missouri Attorney General, are now awaiting confirmation by the full Senate.
"I am proud to see the Senate Judiciary Committee approve President Trump’s highly qualified nominees to serve the Eastern District of Missouri, and I look forward to seeing them swiftly confirmed by the whole Senate," stated Senator Schmitt. He emphasized their past collaboration in serving Missourians and extended gratitude to former President Trump for prioritizing these appointments.
The nominees are Hon. Cristian Stevens, Hon. Maria Lanahan, Hon. Zachary Bluestone, and Hon. Joshua Divine, with Divine also set to serve in the Western District of Missouri.
Senator Schmitt highlighted his active involvement with President Trump and the White House in ensuring that Missouri's judicial appointments were prioritized on a national level.
