Senator Eric Schmitt has recently made a series of statements on social media addressing immigration enforcement, political rhetoric, and public broadcasting. The posts reflect his perspectives on national security, media bias, and the treatment of law enforcement agencies.

On July 14, 2025, Senator Schmitt emphasized the necessity of mass deportations, framing them as essential for national survival. He stated that "Mass deportations are not optional. They’re necessary. This is a matter of national survival. ICE agents are on the frontlines of the fight to save our country. They deserve our full support—not to be ambushed, assaulted, or shot by thugs inspired by radical propaganda."

In another post on the same day, Schmitt addressed what he perceives as a double standard in reactions to political violence and rhetoric. He wrote, "These are the same people who spent the past decade blaming every unhinged act of political violence on 'right-wing rhetoric'—and accusing every conservative pundit and politician of being directly responsible. Where's their concern-trolling about that 'climate of hate' now?"

Later that evening, Schmitt criticized NPR and PBS for their approach to news coverage. In his words: "Take @NPR and @PBS for example. Instead of providing unbiased reporting that serves all Americans, they have devolved into taxpayer funded mouthpieces for the left's most radical ideas, attacking and undermining the values of millions of American families."

Additional information for Step 3: Senator Eric Schmitt is a Republican U.S. Senator from Missouri known for his outspoken views on immigration policy and media accountability.
