U.S. Senator Eric Schmitt of Missouri has expressed satisfaction with the provisions in the recently enacted legislation known as the One Big Beautiful Bill. The bill, signed into law on July 4, 2025, aims to enhance military readiness and strengthen Missouri's defense industrial base.
Senator Schmitt, a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, emphasized the significance of Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri. He stated that it plays an essential role in national defense due to its housing of B-2 spirit bombers involved in significant military operations. "The provisions secured in the One Big Beautiful Bill are strategic investments that will modernize and strengthen our state’s defense industrial base, military installations, and national security capabilities – both at home and abroad," said Senator Schmitt.
The bill includes several measures intended to benefit U.S. military operations.
