Senator Eric Schmitt has recently shared a series of statements on social media addressing his legislative priorities and concerns regarding federal institutions. The tweets, posted between July 14 and July 15, 2025, reflect the senator's focus on government spending, institutional reform, and support for law enforcement.

On July 14, Senator Schmitt expressed concern about the influence of bureaucrats and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in shaping public policy. He stated, "This isn’t just about saving money—it’s about ending the left’s long march through our institutions. Bureaucrats and their NGO allies won’t stop unless Congress reasserts control and defunds their radical agenda."

Later that day, Schmitt encouraged followers to read his opinion editorial by posting "Read my op-ed https://t.co/6bYJVNeG7a" on July 14.

On July 15, Senator Schmitt announced plans to introduce two bills aimed at supporting law enforcement officers. He wrote, " This week, I’m introducing TWO bills to support our law enforcement heroes: The Graham Hoffman Act —honoring a brave Kansas City firefighter tragically killed while on duty in Missouri. The Protect and Respect ICE Act —doubling the penalty for assaulting an ICE agent."

Additional information for Step 3: The Graham Hoffman Act is named after a Kansas City firefighter who died in the line of duty in Missouri. The Protect and Respect ICE Act proposes increased penalties for those convicted of assaulting U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents.
