Two Mizzou football players have been recognized in the media's 2025 preseason All-Southeastern Conference Team, as announced by the SEC. The announcement came at the end of the SEC Kickoff, a four-day media event held in Atlanta. More than 200 media members participated in the voting process.
Cayden Green, a junior left guard, received first-team honors after an impressive debut season in 2024. He started all 13 games and was instrumental in strengthening an offensive line that contributed to one of the SEC's most balanced offenses. Green is from Lee's Summit and enters his second season with Mizzou, having earned multiple preseason All-American accolades. He has played 1,504 career snaps over 24 games (18 starts) during his time at Mizzou and Oklahoma. In 2024, he helped Mizzou achieve significant rushing and passing yardage along with numerous touchdowns.
Kevin Coleman Jr., a senior wide receiver, earned third-team honors on the media's preseason All-SEC team. A first-year Tiger from St. Louis and St. Mary's High School graduate, Coleman has accumulated 132 receptions for 1,769 yards and 11 touchdowns across his career at Jackson State, Louisville, and Mississippi State. Last year at MSU, he achieved third-team All-SEC honors with notable receiving yards and touchdowns.
Mizzou was picked to finish 12th in the league's preseason media poll despite securing 21 wins over the last two seasons—tied for third among all SEC teams. Texas was predicted to win this season’s SEC championship.
The Tigers will begin their season with "Kickoff in CoMo" on Thursday, August 28 against Central Arkansas at Memorial Stadium.
