University of Missouri's cross country team has announced its schedule for the 2025 season. The Tigers will participate in three out of four regular-season meets at their home venue, Gans Creek Cross Country Course, and will also host the 2025 NCAA Championship. Head coach Brett Halter shared this update on Friday.
"We are thrilled to announce our 2025 cross country schedule, highlighted by our three home meets," said Kyle Levermore, cross country coach. "It is an honor to bring the NCAA Championship to Columbia for the first time ever. Gans Creek is the premier destination for collegiate cross country in 2025. Our team has been hard at work in the offseason and we are excited to return nearly our entire team from the 2024 season along with some fresh faces."
The season begins with the Mizzou Opener on August 29. The team's only road competition during the regular season is scheduled for September 20 at the Greeno Dirksen Cross Country Invite, hosted by Nebraska and Nebraska Wesleyan at Mahoney Park Golf Course.
Mizzou will then return home for two more events: the Gans Creek Classic on September 26 and October 18's Pre-National Invitational. The Gans Creek Classic will feature teams that participated in last year's NCAA Championship.
Postseason competitions start on October 31 with the Southeastern Conference Championship hosted by Tennessee at Cherokee Farm Cross Country Course. This will be followed by the NCAA Midwest Championship on November 14 at Oklahoma State's Greiner Family's OSU Cross Country Course, culminating with the NCAA Championship at Gans Creek Cross Country Course on November 22.
The Tigers' roster includes returning athletes Rahel Broemmeland Drew Rogers, both All-SEC Second Team selections from last year.
