Rep. Mark Alford, who represents Missouri’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, shared a series of posts on August 19, 2025, addressing issues ranging from rural healthcare to U.S. foreign policy spending.

In a post at 17:15 UTC, Alford encouraged followers to listen to recent content by stating, " ICYMI, listen now:

Later that day at 18:06 UTC, he highlighted a meeting with local healthcare leaders: "Today, we met with leaders at Bates County Memorial Hospital (BCMH).

We discussed the struggles that BCMH and other rural hospitals are facing in the 4th district.

At 18:16 UTC, Alford commented on U.S. aid to Ukraine and called for a shift in strategy: "We've spent more than $300 billion so far in sending armaments and money to help with humanitarian causes in Ukraine, which is a good thing.

But now, it’s time to set up security guarantees and the U.S. must STOP funding this war. https://t.co/l2IvivkRZH".

Alford has served as Missouri’s 4th District representative since replacing Vicky Hartzler in 2023. He was born in Baytown, Texas in 1963 and currently resides in Lake Winnebago. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a BA in 1988.
