U.S. Representative Mark Alford, who serves Missouri’s 4th district, recently shared a series of posts on social media addressing federal appointments and international affairs.
On August 18, 2025, Alford extended congratulations to Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey for his new role in the FBI. In his post, Alford stated: "Congratulations to my friend @AGAndrewBailey on his appointment as FBI Co-Deputy Director. As a member of the @HouseAppropsGOP Commerce, Justice, and Science Subcommittee, which oversees the FBI’s funding, we look forward to helping bring the Show Me State’s values to our".
The following day, on August 19, 2025, Alford commented on global security issues involving former President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin. He wrote: "Look, President Donald J. Trump is a snake charmer at this point… Putin is the cobra, and all we're looking for now is a mongoose. Something that can provide some security guarantees that will STOP the killing in Ukraine."

Mark Alford has represented Missouri's 4th congressional district since replacing Vicky Hartzler in 2023. He was born in Baytown, Texas in 1963 and currently resides in Lake Winnebago. Alford graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1988.
