University of Missouri football players Cayden Green, Kevin Coleman Jr., and Jalen Catalon have been named to the Preseason Coaches All-SEC Team.
Cayden Green, a junior offensive lineman, was selected for the first team. According to the university, Green started all 13 games at left guard last season. He contributed to an offense that gained over 2,100 rushing yards and nearly 3,000 passing yards, along with 26 rushing touchdowns. The offensive line led the Southeastern Conference (SEC) in time of possession and ranked among the top teams nationally in several key categories.
Senior wide receiver Kevin Coleman Jr., who transferred from Mississippi State, earned second-team honors. In 2024, Coleman recorded 74 receptions for six touchdowns and totaled 932 receiving yards—ranking fifth in the SEC. He led Mississippi State in all major receiving statistics and had four games with more than 100 receiving yards.
Graduate safety Jalen Catalon was named to the third team. Entering his seventh season of college football, Catalon played last year at UNLV where he finished second on his team with 61 tackles and five interceptions—placing him fourth nationally in that category. Previously, he received All-American recognition as a freshman and has also played for Arkansas and Texas during his collegiate career.
"Green, a consensus preseason All-American, returns after starting all 13 games at left guard a season ago and helped the Mizzou offense accumulate 2,138 rushing and 2,926 passing yards as well as 26 rushing TDs. He was part of an offensive line that led the SEC and ranked seventh nationally in time of possession (32:54) and ranked fourth and seventh in the conference in TFLs allowed (4.62) and sacks allowed (2.00) per game, respectively."
"Coleman, a first-year transfer by way of Mississippi State, returns to his home state after being named a Third Team All-SEC selection for the Bulldogs in 2024. A native of St. Louis, Coleman hauled in 74 receptions for six touchdowns and came up just shy of a 1,000-yard season (932 yards) to rank fifth in the SEC - leading the Bulldogs in all three receiving categories. Coleman registered four 100-yard games in 2024 and went over 50 yards on 11 occasions."
"A former 2020 Freshman All-American (The Athletic, FWAA) and 2024 Second Team All-America selection by College Football Network, Catalon will play his seventh season of college football in 2025. Last season at UNLV, Catalon ranked second on the squad with 61 total tackles, 5.0 TFL, 2.0 sacks and a team-leading five interceptions to rank fourth nationally in that category. During previous stops, Catalon earned four letters and 2020 Second Team All-SEC recognition at Arkansas and lettered for Texas in 2023."
