Rep. Mark Alford, a U.S. Congressman representing Missouri’s 4th district since 2023, highlighted local and national leadership in a series of posts on August 20, 2025.

In one post, Alford discussed former President Donald Trump’s international role by sharing his recent media appearance: "ICYMI: I joined Mornings with Maria to discuss President Trump’s leadership on the world stage. @POTUS is working to set up a big win for America. Strong leadership delivers results!" (August 20, 2025).

Alford also used his platform to recognize community efforts within his district. He introduced Calee Swalley, a young Life Scout from Troop 57 in Lebanon: " Show-Me Superstar Meet Calee Swalley, a 14-year-old Life Scout from Troop 57 in Lebanon! She’s leading an Eagle Scout project to improve her community: organizing bricklaying & mulching around a park bench. Way to go, Calee — your leadership is inspiring." (August 20, 2025). In a follow-up post on the same day, he provided more information about her project: "Read more about her efforts: https://t.co/oct4qtjJtg".

Mark Alford succeeded Vicky Hartzler as the representative for Missouri's 4th congressional district in 2023 and has continued to highlight both national policy issues and local achievements among his constituents. Born in Baytown, Texas in 1963 and currently residing in Lake Winnebago, Alford earned his BA from the University of Texas at Austin in 1988.
