Rep. Mark Alford, who represents Missouri’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, shared updates on social media regarding a series of town hall meetings held on August 25 and 26, 2025. The posts highlighted his engagement with constituents at Southwest Baptist University and provided details about upcoming stops in his ongoing outreach tour.

On August 25, Alford announced the location and timing of an evening event: "TONIGHT'S TOWN HALL: We are in the auditorium of the Geneva Casebolt Music Center across the street from the Meyer Center at Southwest Baptist University. Begins at 7PM CT, see you soon!"

Later that evening, he reported that the town hall was underway: "LIVE NOW: Our 5th stop of the day, our evening town hall in Bolivar is underway. Tune in https://t.co/o5S9W2sVkY" (August 26).

Following the event, Alford expressed appreciation for community participation and noted plans for further meetings: "THANK YOU for coming out to our Town Hall tonight at Southwest Baptist University! Always here to listen and hear you out. We may not always agree, but we will always be working for you! See you tomorrow. First stop in Wheatland, MO at Hickamo starts at 8:30 AM! https://t.co/Q7TTonnUH9" (August 26).

Alford has represented Missouri’s 4th District since replacing Vicky Hartzler in Congress in 2023. He was born in Baytown, Texas in 1963 and resides in Lake Winnebago. Alford graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a BA degree in 1988.
