Mizzou women's basketball is set to play Arkansas State at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday at Mizzou Arena. The game will be available for viewing on SECN+ and can be heard on the Tiger Radio Network.

The Tigers come into the matchup with a 2-0 record, following a recent win over Tulane. Junior guard Grace Slaughter led the team in that game, scoring 27 points and making all 12 of her free-throw attempts. This achievement marks the second-highest number of free throws made without a miss in a single game in program history.

Junior guard Shannon Dowell also contributed significantly against Tulane, recording 10 points and 12 rebounds, and reaching her 1,000th career point during the fourth quarter.

"Slaughter ranks fifth in the SEC with 19.5 points per game this season. In October, she was named to the Cheryl Miller Small Forward of the Year Preseason Watch List."

"Dowell ranks second in the league with 12.0 rebounds per contest. In the season opener, she set the program record with 23 free-throw attempts against UCA (Renee Kelly vs. Colorado (1/24/87))"

Senior forward Jordana Reisma entered this year ranked first among all NCAA returners in field goal percentage at 67.7%. In a recent game against Central Arkansas, both Reisma (13) and Dowell (12) had double-digit rebounds—the first time two Tigers have achieved this since Slaughter and Ashton Judd did so against Belmont on November 6, 2023.

This upcoming contest will be the sixth meeting between Mizzou and Arkansas State, with Mizzou holding a narrow lead in their all-time series at three wins to two.

Arkansas State has started its season at 1-1 after an overtime victory over Tarleton last Friday. The Redwolves are led by junior guard Crislyn Rose, who is averaging 23 points per game so far this season.

"Head coach Desrinee Rogers is in her fifth season at the helm."

"Finishing last season at 21-11, Arkansas State claimed the Sun Belt Conference tournament title and made its first appearance in the NCAA tournament."
