Moberly Regional Medical Center provided care to thousands of residents in North Central Missouri throughout 2024, recording over 87,000 patient encounters across its physician clinics and outpatient facilities. The center is committed to delivering safe, quality healthcare and supporting community welfare, as reported in its Community Benefit Report detailing a $38 million impact.
Annually, the hospital's emergency room manages over 12,000 patient cases, offering treatment irrespective of patients' financial capabilities. In 2024, the center rendered more than $8 million in charity and uncompensated care, assisting patients in obtaining necessary medications and medical devices.
The center and its employees actively participate in community service, notably through projects like the annual Jars of Love peanut butter drive supporting the Christos Center Food Bank. Contributions also benefit the Moberly Public Schools Foundation, Randolph County Ministerial Alliance, and local high schools.
"Our work to grow and enhance the medical services we provide is ongoing, as we continuously improve our safety and quality and support access to healthcare for our community," said Michael Hall, chief executive officer of Moberly Regional Medical Center. "From providing care to our most vulnerable residents to supporting local charitable organizations, we are proud to make an impact on the health, well-being and quality of life in Moberly and the surrounding communities."
The center's dedication is reflected in its safety record, marking six years without a Serious Safety Event, five years free from MRSA and CLABSI infections, and three years without a CAUTI infection. Moberly Regional Medical Center continues to expand services and technologies with advancements like robotic surgery.
"It invests in medical services, facilities, and technologies with capital projects in 2024 amounting to approximately $929,000," Michael Hall stated. "These include upgrades in surgical and pharmacy equipment, as well as enhancements to the main lobby to improve patient experience."
Furthermore, the hospital has bolstered surgical services with robotic surgery technologies for various procedures, maintaining two primary care clinics with telehealth and online scheduling. "We are strategically applying our resources to help area residents have access to the care they need close to home," Hall said. "These investments, along with our outstanding medical staff and employees, support our delivery of high quality medical care and services for a positive patient experience."
Serving as a significant employer, Moberly Regional Medical Center manages a $26 million payroll and contributes to workforce development by training medical students from local institutions such as Moberly Area Community College, Truman State University, and Central Methodist University. The center further aids the local economy through over $3 million paid in taxes, supporting community infrastructure and resources.
