The University of Missouri wrestling team secured first place at the Tiger Style Invite, held at Hearnes Center on November 9, 2025. The Tigers accumulated 146.5 points, maintaining their unbeaten record at the event since its inception in 2022.

Four Missouri wrestlers claimed individual titles in their weight classes. Zeke Seltzer earned gold at 141 pounds after defeating two National Qualifiers, Oklahoma's Tyler Wells and Purdue's Greyson Clark. Redshirt senior Josh Edmond won the 149-pound title with a controlled performance throughout his matches. Max Mayfield, also a redshirt senior, took the top spot at 165 pounds in his first appearance at the invite by overcoming Marcus Espinoza-Owens of South Dakota State. Redshirt freshman Aeoden Sinclair won all his matches decisively before taking victory by forfeit in the final.

This marks Missouri’s fourth consecutive team championship at the Tiger Style Invite. The Tigers finished ahead of second-place Oklahoma Sooners, who scored 122.5 points. Eighteen Missouri wrestlers placed overall, with eight finishing among the top three in their respective divisions.

The event was hosted for the first time at Hearnes Center after being previously held in Kansas City for its initial three editions.

According to match notes provided by Missouri Athletics: “With the Tigers taking the top spot, Mizzou remains the only team to win the Team Title at the invite dating back to 2022.”

In total, twenty-two Mizzou wrestlers competed this year; thirteen reached semifinals and six advanced to finals rounds.

Missouri will next compete at National Duals sponsored by Paycom on November 15-16 in Tulsa, Oklahoma and is scheduled to face No. 2 Iowa in their opening match.
