Moberly Regional Medical Center (MRMC) has been awarded an “A” Hospital Safety Grade for Fall 2025 by The Leapfrog Group, a national nonprofit organization that evaluates hospitals on patient safety. The grade reflects the hospital’s performance in preventing errors, accidents, injuries, and infections.

"Every staff member on the MRMC team is dedicated to people getting well and living healthier. It is our goal at Moberly Regional Medical Center each and every day to provide compassionate patient care in the safest possible environment.”

The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade is known as the only hospital rating program in the United States that focuses entirely on preventable medical errors, infections, and injuries. According to The Leapfrog Group, such issues are responsible for over 500 patient deaths daily nationwide. Grades are published twice a year and are accessible to the public without cost.

MRMC has also reported notable achievements in infection prevention. The facility has gone five years without recording a hospital-acquired infection from methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) or central line-associated bloodstream infection (CLABSI). Additionally, it has not had a catheter-associated urinary tract infection (CAUTI) in three years.
