Missouri divers prepare for Georgia Tech Invitational after sweeping previous meet

The University of Missouri's diving team will participate in the Georgia Tech Diving Invitational in Atlanta this week. The event, which runs from Thursday to Saturday, features teams from Georgia Tech, Auburn (ranked 20th), Virginia Tech (ranked 17th), Duke (ranked 19th for women), and East Carolina.

Preliminary rounds are scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. Central Time on Thursday and Friday, with finals taking place at 6 p.m. On Saturday, the competition will feature only finals starting at 10 a.m. and noon. All events will be held at the McAuley Aquatic Center. Results can be found on DiveMeets, and live streaming is available through ACC Network Extra.

Missouri is sending eight divers: five women—Jazzelle Eikermann Gregorchuk, Mia Henninger, Megan Jolly, Olivia Liddle, and Gabriela San Juan Carmona—and three men—Tanner Braunton, Collier Dyer, and Tommaso Zannella.

Thursday’s schedule includes men's 3-meter diving prelims at 10 a.m., followed by the consolation final at 11:45 a.m., and the final at 6 p.m. Women's 1-meter diving prelims are set for 12:45 p.m., with their consolation final at 2:30 p.m., and the final at 6:40 p.m.

On Friday, women's 3-meter diving begins with prelims at 10 a.m., consolation finals at 11:45 a.m., and finals at 6 p.m. Men's 1-meter diving starts with prelims at 12:45 p.m., followed by consolation finals at 2:30 p.m., and finals at 6:40 p.m.

Saturday will focus on platform events with men's platform finals beginning at 10 a.m., women's platform finals at noon, and a combined platform exhibition scheduled for 1:30 p.m.

In their previous meet against Vanderbilt and McKendree, Missouri divers swept all events. Collier Dyer won both springboard competitions with scores of 369.83 in the one-meter event and 362.63 in the three-meter event against McKendree. Gabriela San Juan Carmona took first place in three-meter diving with a score of 316.50 while Mia Henninger secured gold in one-meter diving with a score of 289.58.

Following this invitational, both swimming and diving squads will compete in the Mizzou Invite from November 20-22 inside the Mizzou Aquatic Center. Prelims start each day at 9:30 a.m., with finals concluding by approximately 5:30 p.m. The meet will be streamed on SEC Network+, and admission is free to the public.
