Mizzou women's basketball will play an exhibition game against Maryville at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday at Mizzou Arena. Admission to the event is free.

The Tigers have a strong record in exhibition games, having won 36 out of their last 37 matchups since the 1999-00 season.

This game will be the first opportunity for fans to see the team under new head coach Kellie Harper. Harper became the fifth head coach in program history in March. Over her 20 seasons as a Division I head coach, she has achieved a 393-260 record and led teams to nine NCAA Tournament appearances. She also brings experience from her playing career at Tennessee and has guided teams to multiple conference tournament championships and top-three league finishes.

Junior Grace Slaughter returns as a key player after being named the 2024-25 SEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Last season, she averaged 15 points and 3.6 rebounds per game, ranking her among the top players in the SEC.

The roster includes seven transfer additions: Chloe Sotell from Pepperdine, Jayla Smith from Purdue, Lisa Thompson from Rutgers, Sydney Mains from Florida Atlantic, Shannon Dowell from Illinois State, Jordana Reisma from Cleveland State, and Saniah Tyler from Kentucky.

Maryville finished last season with a 16-15 overall record and went 12-8 in Great Lakes Valley Conference play. The team's standout player is sophomore Lindsey Schadewalt, who averaged 12.3 points per game and was named GLVC Freshman of the Year. Maryville is coached by Brita Hand, who has recorded a 33-24 mark since taking over in 2022.
